Introduction

In response, conservation efforts have increasingly focused on identifying and prioritizing biodiversity hotspots—regions that harbor a large number of endemic species and are experiencing significant habitat loss. Understanding the importance of these hotspots is critical for developing effective conservation strategies that maximize impact [1].
Methodology
Defining biodiversity hotspots
The concept of biodiversity hotspots was first popularized by Norman Myers in 1988. To qualify as a biodiversity hotspot, a region must meet two primary criteria:
