Reproductive Functions

The reproductive system is a collection of internal and external organs, in both males and females that work together for the purpose of procreating. The Reproductive System is unique in that it does little to contribute to the homeostasis of the organism. The major function of the reproductive system is to make sure that the human species survives. The four main functions of the human reproductive system are: To produce egg and sperm cells, to transport and sustain these cells, to nurture the developing offspring, and to produce hormones.
