Utah State University is located in Logan with regional campuses in Brigham City, Tooele, and the Uintah Basin. It was founded in 1888 as Agricultural College of Utah, It has become Utah State University in 1957. The University focused on domestic arts, economics, agriculture and mechanic arts. USU now offering programs in liberal arts, engineering, business, economics, natural resource sciences, as well as nationally ranked elementary & secondary education programs. The university is having 38 doctoral degrees, 176 bachelor degrees, 97 masters degrees with 8 colleges. Utah State University is having space-grant institution accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. USU published the first volume of the student yearbook, the Buzzer, in 1910. It persisted through 1971. In 1950 Utah University awarded the first doctoral degrees, first graduate degree, and a masters in agriculture. In 2003 USU initiates its first capital campaign for $400 million. In a short period of time, the university receives the three largest private gifts in its history USUs Space Dynamics Lab worked with NASA to launch a satellite that mapped an infrared atlas of the entire sky. During 2010, the satellite photographed hundreds of millions of objects and identified 19 new comets.
