Cerebrovascular disease is mainly caused by the dysfunctions of brain supplying blood vessels. This is mainly due to hypertension which damages the endothelium and lining of vessel lining. Whereas the repairing process initiates platelet aggregates which is not always successful. Continious hypertension makes the blood vessels uneven, compressed, tight, and twisted to changes in blood pressure. Cerebrovascular diseases can be caused due to obesity, smoking, and diabetes. The final result of cerebrovascular disease is mainly stroke and occasionally hemorrhagic stroke. This is also a type of cardiovascular disease. Majorly 4 types of Cerebrovascular disease we can found generally i.e., Stroke, transient ischemic attack, subarachnoid hemorrhage, vascular dementia.
Stroke is known as a serious medical condition results with the interruption in Blood supply
Transient ischemic attack caused due to lack of Oxygen supply to the brain results in temporary fall in the brain's blood supply.
