Population biology could be a study of populations of organisms, particularly the regulation of population size, life history traits like clutch size, and extinction. The term population biology is usually used interchangeably with population ecology, though 'population biology' is a lot of oft used once finding out diseases, viruses, and microbes, and 'population ecology' is employed a lot of oft once finding out plants and animals. Though Reverend Malthus's book, Associate in Nursing Essay on the Principle of Population, dealt solely with the economy of human population fluctuations, that he theorized as being associated with finite food resources, abundance and abasement, it gave inspiration to Darwin for the theoretical basis of his seminal work, The Origin of Species.
