Diaelectical behaviour therapy is a type of cognitive behavioural therapy. Its main aim to teach patient about skills to get rid of stress, to regulate emotions and to build good relations with other people. The theory behind the approach is that some people are prone to react in a more intense and out-of-the-ordinary manner toward certain situations. In its standard form, there are four components of DBT: skills training group, individual treatment, DBT phone coaching, and consultation team.
