Nucleic Acid Interactions

Biosensors that employ nucleic acid interactions can be referred to as genosensors. The recognition process is based on the principle of complementary base pairing, adenine, thymine and cytosine, guanine in DNA. The hybridization probes can then base pair with the target sequences, generating an optical signal. The favored transduction principle employed in this type of sensor has been  detection.particular protein-DNA connections are usually interceded by a α-helix theme in the protein which embeds itself into the real notch of the DNA, perceiving and interfacing with a particular base grouping through H-bonds and salt scaffolds. Moreover, the liking and specificity of a specific protein-nucleic corrosive association can be expanded through protein oligomerization or multi-protein complex development.
