Sleep Apnea is diagnosed and could be treated by Orofacial Surgery. Sleep Apnea is a breathing interruption during sleep. It is due to low blood oxygen levels ultimately leading to respiratory problem. The latest treatment techniques introduced are oral surgery and success rate seems to be 90%.

Sleep apnea surgery is a surgery performed to treat sleep disordered breathing. Sleep disordered breathing is a spectrum of disorders that includes snoring, upper airway resistance syndrome, and obstructive sleep apnea. The disorder may vary in severity and is often associated with other physiologic problems. Sleep apnea sufferers have multiple points of obstruction in their airway and therefore require multilevel sleep surgery in order to maximize the efficacy of treatment.
