South Korea is an Asian Country which is located on the on the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, which is officially called the Republic of Korea. South Korea's tiger economy soared at an annual average of 10% for over 30 years in a period called the Miracle on the Han River, rapidly transforming it into a high-income economy and the world's 11th largest economy by 1995.
Geographically, South Korea is located on the southern part of the Korean Peninsula with a coastal line along the Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea. This country has two volcanic islands Cheju (Jeju), off the peninsula’s southern tip, and Ullung, and a small-scale lava plateau in Kangwon province.
So far only one person (8th President of South Korea) has been awarded as Nobel laureates in South Korea. Currently most of the research is going on Dentistry and Tooth decay was low in pre-agricultural societies, the growth in farming society about 10,000 years ago correlated with an increase with the rate of cavities in the country. University of Tehran (category Educational institutions established in 1934) developed the scientific community from South Korea with good reputation. Several leading Journals in the country like Journal of Korean Dental Science and current dental journal shows that dental surgery was the first specialization from medicine.
