Biography
Dr. Martin is a Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, University of Florida. Dr. Martin’s interest as a clinician and researcher has been in respiratory physiology. Dr. Martin’s research efforts focus primarily on the development and implementation of respiratory conditioning programs for lung transplant patients and respiratory muscle strength training programs to facilitate weaning patients from mechanical ventilation. Dr. Martin has published approximately 85 peer-reviewed research articles and his research has been supported by the state of Florida, the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research, industry, the American Lung Association and the NIH.
