Stella Zetta is an associate lecturer of Nursing at the TEI of Thessaly, Greece. She earned her Nursing Degree at the TEI of Epirus, Ioannina, Greece in 1991. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy PhD in 2006 from University of Dundee U.K. She was seconded and completed a postgraduate certificate in Critical Care Nursing which led to the Specialist Qualification in Critical Care by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, UK. Her main activities included health education of patients and their families that were on the waiting-list for cardiac surgery. She then applied for a doctoral studentship at the University of Dundee. In her thesis she evaluated the Angina Plan a brief nurse-led cardiac rehabilitation program aiming to improve mood, knowledge and alleviate misconceptions of cardiac disease as well as cardiac risk factors of angina patients. In order to complete the thesis she applied and received funding from the Health Services Research Committee of the Scottish Office. She is currently a lecturer in Greece teaching undergraduate nursing students. She also teaches and supervises thesis in post graduate students at Master’s level. She has presented her work in national and international conferences. She has authored 8 publications with Google scholar citation index of 70.
Her main research interests include nurse-led and cardiac rehabilitation interventions, caring and altruism.
