Biography
Professor Xing Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, San Diego in 2007. He subsequently conducted his post-doctoral research work in School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego and Bioengineering Department at Rice University. In 2013, he was appointed to a faculty position in Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science at Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Dr Zhang’s research has been focused on biomineralization, biomaterials and tissue engineering. He also serves as Associate Editor for the journal Experimental Techniques, and is a referee for more than 10 international scientific journals in the field of materials science and tissue engineering, including Biomaterials, Acta Biomaterialia, Tissue Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering C, etc.
