Biography

Bhagwat Prasad is a lead scientist in University of Washington research affiliate program on transporters (UWRAPT), primarily focused on development and application of analytical strategies to quantify endogenous proteins involved in drug disposition and response (transporters, enzymes and receptors) in various tissues and cells. These techniques provide data which are extremely useful in developing physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PKPD) models. Future interests are to apply quality by design (QbD) approach to achieve analytical robustness in proteomics, metabolomics and lipidomics in understanding systems biology of disease, drug disposition and response.

Research Interest

Quantitative pharmacoproteomics, pharmacometabolomics, mechanisms of inter-individual variability of transporters/metabolizing enzymes in human tissues, physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling
