Dr Paolo Flace is a Medical Doctor currently in the Laboratory of developmental Neurobiology of Physiology Section - Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Neuroscience and Sensory Organs Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’ in 2015 with an experimental thesis entitled: Study of serotonergic, dopaminergic and neurotensinergic neuronal subpopulations in the human cerebellum and their role in neurological and psychiatric disorders. Is a first author and co-author of over 70 scientific pubblications about different areas of the biomedicine and neuroscience in particular on the cerebellum. Current research targets on the morphofunctional features of the synaptic and extrasynaptic transmission and in the mechanism involved in the regulation of the permeability of the blood brain barrier. Moreover, research regards the cerebellar GABAergic, serotonergic, dopaminergic, and neuropeptidergic systems, paying particular attention to the role of the non-traditional corticocerebellar neurons. Research also focuses on the mammals cerebellum connections with other brain areas and their role in the neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disease This scientific bibliography of Dr. Flace Paolo MD contains confidential and/or privileged informations and is released at the American Journal of Clinical & Medical Images (AJCM) only for the procedure for inclusion in the editorial board (D.lgs n. 196 / 30.06.03 Italian privacy code; Dir.
