Abstract
Biosecurity and Bioterrorism: Safeguarding Humanity in an Age of Uncertainty: In an interconnected and rapidly evolving world, the threat of bioterrorism has emerged as a critical concern. Bioterrorism involves the intentional release of harmful biological agents to cause widespread fear, illness, and death among populations. This article delves into the concept of biosecurity, a comprehensive approach to preventing unauthorized access to dangerous biological agents, and explores the historical perspective of using biological agents as weapons. With advancements in science and technology, globalization, and cyber threats, the risk of bioterrorism has escalated.
