Nursing professionals play a significant role in providing infant care, including feeding, bathing, changing diapers, administering medication, and monitoring vital signs. They also provide emotional support to both the infant and the family and educate parents on infant care, including breastfeeding, sleep patterns, and developmental milestones [1].

These conditions include respiratory distress syndrome, jaundice, sepsis, and congenital anomalies, among others. They must be knowledgeable about the latest medical interventions and treatment modalities and work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for infants.
Caring for infants requires specialized knowledge and expertise, and nursing professionals need to possess several essential skills to provide high-quality care. These skills include:Knowledge of Infant Development: Nursing professionals should have a thorough understanding of infant development and be aware of developmental milestones, growth patterns, and common health issues that may arise in newborns [4,5].

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Nursing professionals in infant care must possess excellent critical thinking and problemsolving skills to identify and manage medical conditions that may arise in new borns [8,9].
Conclusion
Caring for infants requires specialized knowledge and expertise, and nursing professionals play a crucial role in providing highquality care to new borns. They are responsible for managing a range of activities, including feeding, bathing, and monitoring vital signs, as well as identifying and managing any health issues that may arise. The job of nursing professionals in infant care can be demanding, and they face various challenges, including long work hours and dealing with distressed parents. However, possessing essential skills such as knowledge of infant development, patience and compassion, attention to detail, communication skills, and critical thinking and problemsolving skills can help them provide optimal care to new borns. With proper training, education, and support, nursing professionals in infant care can make a significant contribution to the health and well-being of infants and their families [10].
