Ultimately, the article highlights the potential of crop genetics and breeding as a powerful tool to sustainably meet the world’s growing food demands while recognizing the importance of addressing broader implications and ethical concerns in agricultural biotechnology.

Introduction

These technologies hold the potential to transform agriculture, making it more sustainable, resilient, and productive. However, it is imperative to approach these innovations with responsibility, ethics, and a commitment to equitable distribution of their benefits to ensure a brighter and more food-secure future for all [1, 2].

Understanding the basics of crop genetics and breeding
