We will discuss the implications of these trends for public health policy, disease surveillance, and prevention strategies.

The 21st century has witnessed dramatic changes in the epidemiological landscape of infectious diseases. Globalization, with increased travel and trade, has facilitated the rapid spread of pathogens across borders. Additionally, environmental changes, driven by climate change and human activity, have altered the habitats of vectors and hosts, leading to new and re-emerging infectious threats [2].
