Abstract
Neonatal care encompasses the specialized medical care provided to newborns, particularly those born prematurely or with health complications. This field is critical as the neonatal period is a vulnerable time for infants, with high risks of mortality and morbidity. Neonatal care includes a range of practices from immediate postnatal care, such as assessment of vital signs and thermoregulation, to advanced interventions for complex conditions like respiratory distress syndrome and jaundice. The care provided is often tailored to the individual needs of the neonate, based on factors such as gestational age, birth weight, and overall health.
