Cardioprotective strategies play a pivotal role in minimizing ischemia-reperfusion injury during cardiac surgery, a concern that equally affects both adult and pediatric populations. This article provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of cardioprotective measures employed in adult and pediatric cardiac surgery. The review examines the similarities and distinctions in techniques, challenges, and outcomes between the two groups.
