Abstract
Neonatal medical interventions play a crucial role in improving the survival and overall health outcomes of premature and critically ill newborns. This review article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the various medical interventions used in neonatal care. The article will explore the advances in technology and medical knowledge that have significantly impacted neonatology. Starting with the initial resuscitation and stabilization of newborns, we will delve into the management of common neonatal conditions, such as respiratory distress syndrome, jaundice, sepsis, and intraventricular hemorrhage. Additionally, we will discuss the use of therapeutic hypothermia for hypoxicischemic encephalopathy, the role of neonatal surgery, and emerging trends in neonatal care. Throughout the review, the evidence supporting these interventions, their limitations, and potential areas of improvement will be discussed.
