Key pharmacological agents, including orlistat, metformin, and GLP-1 receptor agonists, have demonstrated varying degrees of effectiveness in promoting weight loss and improving metabolic outcomes in children and adolescents. While these medications offer potential benefits, their success is contingent upon careful patient selection, appropriate dosing, and comprehensive monitoring to mitigate side effects and ensure long-term safety
