Understanding the role of muscle glycogen in providing energy during exercise is crucial for implementing targeted nutrition and training interventions. Key strategies include carbohydrate loading, timing carbohydrate intake, focusing on complex carbohydrates, hydration, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), endurance training, nutrient timing, and protein consumption.
