Abstract
Tele-ophthalmology has emerged as a ground-breaking approach in modern healthcare, leveraging telecommunication technologies to remotely diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions. One notable application of tele-ophthalmology is its ability to aid in the detection of idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH). Idiopathic intracranial hypertension, previously known as pseudotumor cerebri, is a condition characterized by increased intracranial pressure of unknown origin, leading to various visual disturbances and neurological symptoms. This article delves into the significance of tele-ophthalmology in diagnosing IIH, its advantages, challenges, and it’s potential to revolutionize the way we approach ocular healthcare.
