Abstract
The ozonosphere, commonly known as the ozone layer, is a crucial component of Earth’s atmosphere, playing a significant role in shielding life on our planet from the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Stretching from about 10 to 30 miles above Earth’s surface, this stratospheric layer is composed of ozone (O3 ) molecules that absorb and filter out the majority of the Sun’s dangerous UV radiation. Understanding the ozonosphere is vital for grasping how it affects climate, ecosystems, and human health.
