Germany is having largest national economy in Europe and it stands fourth-largest by nominal GDP in the world, and fifth by GDP (PPP). Germany has been reported to be third largest exporter in the world with 1.13 trillion euros in goods and services. Germany has evolved as a world leader in innovation, boasting research institutes alongside major engineering, IT and manufacturing industries. The country is pioneer in advanced research in SMErobotics, Humanities, Information Technology and medical data systems.

In Physics, Medicine and Chemistry, Germany has produced 103 Nobel laureates so far. In 20th century, Germany had more Nobel Prizes in the field of science and technology than any other nation and it is consistent till today. Many of EU-funded projects, coordinated by German companies, universities and research institutes, highlight the diversity of German science and technology innovation. Numerous are published from Germany with good reputation.
