Currently, he is affiliated to Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals. He is the is serving as an honorary reviewer for Journal of Earth Science and Climatic Change & other reputed journals and has authored several articles along with chapters in different books related to Hyperspectral imaging; Spectral signatures; Spectral variation; Crop identification and Spectral angle mapper.

Recent advances in hyperspectral remote sensing techniques and technologies allow us to more accurately identify larger range of crop species from airborne measurements.
