Christopher Potter
Biography
Dr. Christopher Potter is an Associate Professor of Neuroscience in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His research focuses on how the brain processes olfactory information. His team is engaged in characterizing the anatomy, development and function of neurons required for olfactory behaviors in both the vinegar fly Drosophila melanogaster and the mosquito Anopheles gambiae. Dr. Potter received his undergraduate degree with honors in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his Ph.D. in Genetics from Yale University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Neuroscience at Stanford University.

Changes in the Terrestrial Carbon Cycle of China during the 2010 Drought
Satellite remote sensing was combined with the NASA-CASA (Carnegie Ames Stanford Approach) carbon cycle simulation model to evaluate the impact of the 2010 drought throughout China.
