Biography

Dr. Yassine Charabi received his MSc (1997) and PhD (2001) in Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences from Lille University, Sciences and Technology, France.  Yassine Charabi is Lead Author and International Expert with Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Working Group 1, Physical Basis, 5th Assessment Report, 2010-2014 and contributing author for the Sixth assessment report 2016-2021. Yassine Charabi is currently working as a Professor of Atmospheric Sciences & Director, Center for Environmental Studies and Research at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. The main research interests are focused on atmospheric sciences for renewable energy and developing forecasts
