Biography

Baojun Li received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 2004. His dissertation was on 3D registration and warping of pulmonary CT datasets for establishing lung atlases and radiation treatment planning. From 2002 to 2009, Dr. Li worked at GE Healthcare in the Applied Science Laboratory as a Senior Scientist, where he was heavily involved in the research and development of radiographic tomosynthesis, low-dose CT and dual-energy CT. Dr. Li’s current interests include CT clinical protocol optimization for improved image quality and/or lower dose, quantitative CT imaging, dual-energy CT and advanced clinical applications. Dr. Li has authored/co-authored more than 30 publications and 24 patents. He currently serves as manuscript reviewer and/or guest associate editor for Med. Phy., IEEE Trans. Med. Imag., IEEE Trans. Biomed. Eng., Acad. Radiol., Physica Medica, J. App. Clini. Med. Phy., J. X-ray Sci. Tech.and other journals.

Research Interest

Dr. Li’s main research areas are in the field of diagnostic imaging physics and image processing. His current interests include CT clinical protocol optimization for improved image quality and lower dose, quantitative CT imaging, dual-energy CT and advanced clinical applications and tomosynthesis and its applications in ER.
