Biography
Dr. Dandan Zheng received her Ph.D. in Applied Science from the University of California, Davis in 2007. Her graduate research involved the medical applications of a monoenergetic x-ray source in cancer diagnosis and therapy and the system optimization for contrast-enhanced dual energy mammography. Dr. Zheng joined the VCU Department of Radiation Oncology as a post-doctoral associate in 2007, during which she conducted research projects on the use of CBCT in image-guided adaptive radiotherapy. As an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at VCU between May 2009 and January 2012 and at University of Nebraska Medical Center since January 2012, Dr. Zheng actively works on providing quality patient care in clinical medical physics, teaching next-generation researchers and clinicians and conducting clinical research projects.
Research Interest
Dr. Dandan Zheng research interests include image guidance in radiotherapy, motion management, bioinformatics in radiotherapy and personalized radiation treatment using biological diagnostic and prognostic markers.
