Biography

Dr. David Bachman is Professor of Neurosciences and Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina. He serves as Director of the Division of Adult Neurology within the Department of Neurosciences and as Associate Chief of Staff for Geriatrics and Extended Care at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. Dr. Bachman completed medical school and a Neurology residency at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He then did a Fellowship in Behavioral Neurology at the Boston VA Medical Center. He was on faculty in the Department of Neurology of the Boston University School of Medicine, until joining the faculty at MUSC in 1989. Dr. Bachman serves as co-Director of the Alzheimer Clinical Research Program and is Director of the Clinical Core of the South Carolina Alzheimer Disease Clinical Center.

Research Interest

 Dr. David Bachman's areas of interest include dementia, Alzheimer's disease, aphasia, and neuropsychiatric disorders.
