Biography
Dr. Tripathi is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences, University of Allahabad, Allahabad, India. He received Ph.D. in Geophysics (Seismology) from BHU, Varanasi in 1994. He also received his MSc(Tech) in Exploration Geophysics and BSc(Hons) from BHU, Varanasi. He is Fellow and Member of several international and national scientific societies/organizations.
Research Interest
Seismology, Seismic wave propagation through heterogeneous media, Scattering and attenuation of seismic waves and Probabilistic seismic hazards analysis.
