Biography

Dr. Yeh was trained in the fields of microbiology and virology. He earned his Ph.D. from the Konkuk University at Seoul, Republic of Korea (ROK) and his research training at the National Veterinary Research and Quarantine Service, Anyang, ROK. He worked in several high-containment biosafety level 3 (BSL-3) laboratories (ROK, Japan, and US). Currently, he is Professor of Virology in Division of Life Science, the Incheon National University, Incheon, ROK. His current research interests focus on understanding of infectious diseases in humans or/and animals. His lab is currently investigating the development of diagnostic methods to identify emerging or re-emerging pathogens and preventive vaccines. By studying West Nile virus, Rift Valley fever, rinderpest, bluetongue, and Lawsonia intracellularis, his lab aims to contribute to the fields of infectious diseases and bioterrorism including livestock-targeted agro-terrorism.
