Biography

Dr. Kunio Yui is now visiting researcher, Department of Cognitive-Behavioral Medicine, Tokyo University Graduate School of Medicine , where he has been since October, 2016. He was a sometime Professor of the Research Institute of Developmental Disorders at Ashiya University Graduate Sdchool of Education, where he has been since 2006. He graduated From Juntendo University , Fasculty of Medicine (Tokyo, Japan). He received a PhD. from the University of Hirosaki in 1988. From 1989 to 2005 he worked and reseached in the field of neurosciences in mental disorderes and developmental disorders in the Depatment of Pdychiatry, Jichi Medical School (Tochigi, Japan) as an assistant (1989-1995) and associate professor (1995-2005).

Research Interest

My research interests span both bilogical psychiatry andneuroscience. I published many english papers on five topics; 1) clomiphene treatment in bipolar depression related to menstration in female adolescents: 2) the role of noreadrenergic hyperactivity in spintaneous ecurrence of meth mphetasmine psychosis; 3) stress maeker in molar as predisposition of development of schizophrenia; 4) therapeutic effects of arachidonic acid suntherapeutic potential of antitumor drug everolimus in improving autism pplementation in autism and 5) therapeutic potential of antitumordrug everolimus in autism symptoms in tuberous screlosis. These dfindings are completely new and important in the medical treatmentn of mental disorders. I was given numerous invited talks and tutorials, and is a founder of and consultant to companies involved in Neuropsychopharmacology
