Biography

"Dr. Korkmaz received his Ph.D. from Eskisehir Osmangazi University, Turkey in 2008. He then completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Boston University School of Medicine Department of Neurology, andkept going his researches at Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Center and Jamaica Plain Veteran Hospital Research Center as research scientist. In 2012, Dr. Korkmaz joined the Medical Faculty of Eskisehir Osmangazi University where he is currently AssistanProfessor of Physiology and Neurophysiology. He has several scientific publications in neuroscience and neuropharmacology. Dr. Korkmaz’s research interests include the following: neuroanatomy, immunocytochemistry, histochemistry of the brain, neuropathological and neurochemical basis of neurological disorders, and animal models of neurological diseases. He also works with therapeutic trials in rodent models of neurodegenerative disorders."

Research Interest

His research interest lies in the fields encompassing immunohistochemistry, neuroscience, neurodegenerative diseases, neurodegenration, neurological diseases, Alzheimer’s disease, neuroprotection, movement disorders.
