Biography

Dr. Delfyett, born and raised on Long Island, New York, pursued his undergraduate training at The Johns Hopkins University in the History of Science, Technology and Medicine. This was followed by medical training at the University of Pennsylvania and Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Boston Medical center, where he served as Chief Resident. After Neuroradiology fellowship at Duke University, Dr. Delfyett joined the faculty at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In both his clinical practice and research interests, Dr. Delfyett primarily focuses on Brain and Spinal imaging, with an emphasis on applications of advanced imaging in these areas. In his role as the Neuroradiology fellowship director, Dr. Delfyett is active in fellow education, and also is active in Radiology resident education serving on several Radiology residency committees. Dr. Delfyett currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife, a Pediatric Radiologist at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and their two children.

Research Interest

Dr. Delfyett research intrests includes Functional Neuroimaging, especially: BOLD fMRI and novel applications of DTI Stroke imaging, CT perfusion and MR Perfusion
Vascular imaging,Pituitary, Sellar and parasellar pathologies.
