Biography

I received my PhD from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles studying fluoroalkylation reactions under the guidance of Dr. G. K. Surya Prakash and 1994 Chemistry Nobel Laureate, late Prof. George A. Olah. Following my graduation, I moved across the United States to start a postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital/ Harvard Medical School (MGH/HMS). In my five years here, I have worked on several projects involving the synthesis and design of radiotracers to probe various facets of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases, specifically Alzheimer's disease. I have also participated in several imaging studies in rodents and non-human primates and worked on image and radiometabolite analysis. In my current position, I am working on translating a dopamine agonist radiotracer for human imaging and developing novel brain penetrant radiotracers to study neuroinflammation.
