Editor’s Note on Volume 3 Issue 4

Journal of Pregnancy and Child health is a medical specialty that deals with gynecology and obstetrics studying about female reproductive organs’ health and management of pregnancy. To reduce mortality rate of mothers and new born, advancement in the fields of Obstetrics and Genecology is highly important.

Journal of Pregnancy and Child health is an international peer reviewed journal that publishes articles related to recent advances in the field of Gynecology and obstetrics. In volume 3 issue 4 of the journal Six research articles, One case reports and One editorial were published.

Here it is important to mention that we have a lot of distinctive topics in this Issue and each article comprises esteemed research. Norum et al. explained the national quality plan and more caesarean sections, less wound infections, more Gestational Diabetes (GDM) and fewer smokers in Northern Norway: A registry-based retrospective study [1]. Hudson et al. narrated about the impact of birth preparedness on pregnancy outcome findings from Lurambi Sub County, Kakamega County, Kenya [2].

Bosomprah et al. described the assessment of a comprehensive newborn survival programme in 14 districts in the northern and upper east regions of Ghana [3]. Adams et al. surveyed about comparison of outcomes in maternal opioid medical support using centering pregnancy versus maternity care home [4]. Girma et al. probed on prevalence and factors influences utilization of modern contraceptive methods among married women of reproductive age group (15-49 years) in Holeta Town, Oromia, Ethiopia 2016 [5].

Silva et al. in his study reported regarding a blue spotted baby [6]. Flagg et al. absolutely explained on impact of mother’s breastfeeding support: lactation support provided in a group setting [7]. Garcia- Algar and Falcon-Romero noted on emergency screening and brief intervention for alcohol in adolescents [8].
