Abstract
Fetal birth defects represent a significant global health challenge, contributing to infant mortality and morbidity.
This article provides an overview of various birth defects, focusing on their classification, etiology, prenatal detection,
and management. Understanding these defects' implications is crucial for healthcare providers, families, and
policymakers. Early detection through advanced screening techniques is vital for improving outcomes. This review
highlights the importance of genetic counselling, multidisciplinary care, and ongoing research to develop preventive
strategies and enhance the quality of life for affected individuals.
