Abstract
In adolescents, anti NMDA-R encephalitis is the most common etiology of autoimmune encephalitis presenting with various neuropsychiatric symptoms including catatonia. NMDA receptors are responsible for synaptic plasticity and their disruption results in a host of neuropsychiatric symptoms including catatonia.
