Biography
I am Dr Deepa Rana Jamwal. I completed my PhD from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh India in Immunology. I have worked extensively on human samples during my PhD to understand the effects of antiviral therapy on dendritic cell biology in chronic hepatitis C patients. After completing my PhD I took the position of Research Associate at Department of Immunobiology at University of Arizona, Tucson in 2012, where I worked on T cell receptor repertoire using Deep Sequencing (Illumina) to understand the effects of Aging on immune system. Due to my interest in clinical immunology and autoimmunity I moved to Steele Children’s Research Center, University of Arizona, Tucson in 2014. Presently I am working as an Assistant Research Scientist and engaged in understanding the cross talk of various immune cells and dendritic cells in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Research Interest
Innate and Adaptive Immunology especially Dendritic Cell Biology in Infectious and Autoimmune Diseases.
