Biography

Dr. Chakrabarti is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He completed his education and research training from premier/renowned Institutions from India and USA. Dr. Chakrabarti spent more than 15 years in research and trained numerous master/graduate students. He has significant contribution in the fields of molecular biology, cancer and cardiovascular diseases with more than 25 peer reviewed research article and book chapters in many high impact scientific journals. He also presented his work in various national/international conferences. Currently, his research is focused on gaining an understanding of the unique and redundant biological function and properties of the three transforming growth factor beta (TGF脙聨脗虏) ligands and their signaling mechanisms in cardiovascular development and homeostasis and in disease pathogenesis.
