He did his graduation in Dairy Technology (B.Tech.) from Faculty of Dairy Technology, West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, West Bengal, India in 2004. Completed his masters and Ph.D (Dairy Microbiology) from Dairy Microbiology Division, National Dairy Research Institute (Deemed University), Karnal, Haryana, India in the year 2006 and 2010 respectively. Presently working as Assistant Professor in Dept of Food Engineering and Technology, Tezpur University.
His current area of interest is on effect of bioactive peptides on human health, metagenomic studies diet on human gut microbial population, establishment and evaluation of probiotic potential of isolated lactobacilli strains and comparative analysis of their gene expression profile during transit in a simulated gastrointestinal tract conditions, encapsulation and controlled delivery of herbal extracts in food matrix using, etc.
