Ethem Gonenc I
Biography
Prof. I. Ethem Gönenç is an internationally recognized scientist and advisor with over 35 years of experience in environmental engineering and management, and collateral duties as an educator and trainer. Although retired from the University in 2002, he continues to be dedicated to implementation of science-based environmental assessment and management practices within the context of sustained use and development of natural resources on an international basis. He was the Director of the NATO-CCMS Pilot Study on "Ecosystem Modeling of Coastal Lagoons for Sustainable Management" which was initiated in 1995 and ended in 2008.Publications
