Reviewers can download manuscripts and submit their opinions to the editor. Editors can manage the whole submission/review/revise/publish process.Aquaculture is the fastest growing primary industry in Australia; in fact it is the fastest growing food production sector in the world. With limited room for expansion in wild catch fisheries together with an ever-increasing world population, there is a heavy reliance on aquaculture as the means for fish production to meet world demand.

Acoustic Survey defined as a systematic gathering of information on fish availability and abundance using underwater sound. Usually it refers to the investigation of sound production, dispersion and reception in animals. In underwater acoustics and fisheries acoustics the term is also used to mean the effect of plants and animals on sound propagated underwater, usually in reference to the use of sonar technology for biomass estimation.

Gillnet defined as the fishing nets constructed so that fish are entangled or enmeshed, usually in the gills, by the netting. According to their design, ballasting and buoyancy, these nets can be used to fish on the surface, in midwater or on the bottom. The mesh size of the net determines the size of fish caught, since smaller fish can swim through the mesh.
Jigging defined as a method of fishing which uses lures on a vertical line that is moved up and down, or jigged. Jigging can be done manually with hand-operated spools. It is also done automatically using machines when fishing for arrow squid.

Livestock is a noun where the horses, cattle, sheep, and other useful animals kept or raised on a farm or ranch. Livestock are generally raised for profit. Raising animals (animal husbandry) is a component of modern agriculture. It has been practiced in many cultures since the transition to farming from hunter-gather lifestyles.

Trawling is fishing with a large bag-like net, called a trawl, which is drawn along behind a boat called a trawler. The net can be dragged along the sea bottom in order to target demersal fish, or pulled through clear water in order to target pelagic fish. Trawling along the sea bottom can result in significant by catch and habitat destruction.

In general, the livestock industry manages production for optimal yields to ensure economic viability and to supply sufficient volumes to feed large populations. Organic farmers need to understand the nutritional needs of the livestock in order to produce tasty and nutritious organic animal products. The animal’s behaviour, growth pattern, reproductive capacity and food production are intimately linked to the feed it consumes. The nutritional value of the feed and the feed components must be delicately balanced. The results of good organic management and good organic feed include the great taste, colour, texture, nutritional value and optimal yield of the food product.

Biological diversity is also known as Biodiversity. It can be studied on many levels. At the highest level, you can look at all the different species on the entire Earth. On a much smaller scale, you can study biodiversity within a pond ecosystem or a neighborhood park. Identifying and understanding the relationships between all the life on Earth are some of the greatest challenges in science.

Fisheries Management is defined as the integrated process of information gathering, analysis, planning, consultation, decision-making, allocation of resources and formulation and implementation, with enforcement as necessary, of regulations or rules which govern fisheries activities in order to ensure the continued productivity of the resources and the accomplishment of other fisheries objectives.

Sustainable fishery is defined as harvested at a sustainable rate, where the fish population does not decline over time because of fishing practices. Sustainability in fisheries combines theoretical disciplines, such as the population dynamics of fisheries, avoiding overfishing through techniques such as individual fishing quotas, curtailing destructive and illegal fishing practices by lobbying for appropriate law and policy, setting up protected areas, restoring collapsed fisheries, incorporating all externalities involved in harvesting marine ecosystems into fishery economics, educating stakeholders and the wider public, and developing independent certification programs.

*2023 Journal Impact Factor was established by dividing the number of articles published in 2021 and 2022 with the number of times they are cited in 2023 based on Google Scholar Citation Index database. If 'X' is the total number of articles published in 2021 and 2022, and 'Y' is the number of times these articles were cited in indexed journals during 2023 then, journal impact factor = Y/X
