Biography

Shintaro YAGI was born in 1971. He got MD in 1997 (1991-1997), and PhD degree in 2006 from Mie University. Current his position is Professor of Hepatobiliary Transplant Surgery in Kanazawa University, Japan. His clinical specialty is liver transplantation and hepatobiliary and pancreas (HBP) surgery including oncology, extensive and minimal invasive surgery as well as microsurgery. His research interest is focused on liver regeneration and ischemia reperfusion injury in the liver using small and large animal models as well as HBP oncology. Especially, in several model, he is trying to develop transplantable liver in an in-vivo bioreactor now.
