Dr. Yun Michael Shim is Assistant professor of Medicine in Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, University of Virginia, USA.
Research Interest
Obstructive Lung Diseases (asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease [COPD]), Roles of inflammatory and immunologic mediators such as lipids and cytokines in the pathogenesis of COPD and other obstructive lung disease, Role of obesity and exercise in the pathogenesis of asthma, Role of exercise and COPD outcomes, Lung Cancer.
Role of lipid mediators in the pathogenesis of lung cancer and as a target of lung cancer therapeutics, Metabolomics and Drug Discovery, Application of metabolomics strategies to discover novel therapeutic targets, Application of small molecule or novel therapeutic strategies.
