Biography

Dr.A. Chanda works at Raja Narendralal Khan Women's College (A) as Asst. Professor of PG Zoology. Dr. A. Chanda does research in Environmental Science, Aquaculture, Animal Science & prawn taxonomy. Dr. Chanda is recently engaged in diversity and conservation of indigenous freshwater fishes of West Bengal as well as engaged in socio-economic development of village people of his native place through aquaculture and guiding 4 Ph. D scholars, one thesis submitted published 73 papers & 14 books.

From the distributional point of view of Penaeid prawn, Indian region in the present study is divided into three main sub-regions viz., East Coast, West Coast including Laccadive-Minicoy Islands and Andaman Islands.
