Elisha M Wachman

Division of Neonatology, Department of Paediatrics, Boston Medical Centre, Boston, USA

Biography

Dr. Wachman received her MD from the BU School of Medicine before pursuing her pediatric residency at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and Children’s Hospital Boston. She then completed her neonatology fellowship at the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. She is currently an attending neonatologist at BMC and a leader in neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome (NOWS) quality improvement and research. Her research interests include the genetics and epigenetics of NOWS, treatments for maternal opioid use disorder (OUD), and the use of non-pharmacologic care methods to improve NOWS outcomes.
